Background
Global South Initiative (GSI) is an independent, non-profit making, non-governmental, advocacy and campaigning organization based in Kathmandu. It was founded by Mr. Hansha Sanjyal. It is registered with the Government of Nepal and have affiliation with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu and the Social Welfare Council, Nepal as well as with other international civil society networks and United Nations entities.
At Global South Initiative, we put people and the planet first. We are promoting participatory, pro-poor and environment friendly sustainable development through advocacy, campaigning, community awareness and social mobilization.
Vision
Global South Initiative envisions an ecologically sound world, free from poverty and injustice, where human rights, peace and prosperity for all citizens are guaranteed and environmental sustainability is well respected and strengthened.

Leadership Structure
The General Assembly is the ultimate decision-maker of the organization, which held every two years and elect an executive committee for a term of 2 years.
